Subfloor Ventilation

Subfloor ventilation controls moisture levels within the subfloor void, reducing the risk of condensation, mould growth, timber decay, and associated structural damage.

Effective ventilation promotes the dilution and removal of moisture-laden air and ground gases, helping to maintain the durability of suspended floors and supporting compliance with UK Building Regulations and recognised good practice.

Mori WMF

Our Mori WMF subfloor fans are available in both extract and supply configurations and can be used in conjunction with each other for a complete solution.

Why Do We Need Subfloor Ventilation?

Modern construction standards featuring improved insulation and enhanced airtightness have made natural ventilation through traditional air bricks increasingly insufficient. Without consistent airflow, subfloor spaces become vulnerable to serious problems: wood rot that compromises floor structures, mould growth that degrades indoor air quality, and the accumulation of harmful ground gases such as radon.

Over time, these hidden issues can result in costly structural damage and negatively impact occupant health. Mechanical subfloor ventilation provides a reliable, controlled solution that works regardless of external conditions, ensuring the spaces beneath your building remain dry, healthy, and structurally sound.

Our Solution: The Mori WMF Subfloor Fan

The Mori WMF subfloor fan delivers effective mechanical ventilation in both extract and supply configurations, allowing you to choose the most appropriate strategy for your project. Engineered for performance and simplicity, it provides up to 17 l/s airflow to actively control moisture and maintain healthy subfloor conditions. The externally mounted design simplifies installation and maintenance, particularly for retrofit applications, while the integrated controller offers continuous trickle ventilation with an optional boost function.

Installation Concept

This diagram is conceptual only. It should not be considered a design for any particular sub-floor ventilation system. Design responsibility rests solely with the system designer.
